Review: Digital Comic Museum

DigitalComicMuseum.com is an amazing resource for comic book fans, and anyone looking to blow some time. It’s packed full of hard to find comics, and if hard to find isn’t what you’re looking for, I’m sure you’ll find comics on this site you’ve never even heard of. Not to say it’s a bad thing, but the majority of the comics on the site are old, and no longer copywritten.
I spent about a solid hour or so just browsing through the site and various features, and I was simply blown away. Now, I’m not the biggest comic book fan in the world, but I just couldn’t seem to get enough of it. It’s easy, reliable, and has a ton of variety. Everything from The Flame to Phantom Lady, this site is a one stop resource for the avid comic book geek in all of us.
I can’t imagine what it would be like having a site like this 30 years ago, but I do know one thing. This site may very well be the future of comic books as we know it. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if they stopped shelving comic books, and just uploaded them to sites, where you pay, and it’s your property for a lifetime. No more worries about getting them wet, tearing the pages, or losing them.
The only downside is, there is a certain joy that comes from collecting the physical copy of the comic book. And you could no longer hold on to them for years to resell down the road for a substantial profit, I can’t even imagine how many hidden gems and priceless treasures like this are hidden in the back of someones self storage. But back to the site. All in all, I would highly recommend this site to anyone and everyone, whether you’re a hardcore comic book fan, looking to start, or just bored out of your mind. Be sure to swing by and check it out!
