Caught-Up in The Web.
I am sure that when two universities in California managed to send and receive information to one another they had no idea what it was that they were starting.
Until I read this, I had no idea that the Internet had begun back in 1969. I knew that it had been going for a lot longer than most people realised, but I would never have guessed that it was as long as forty years ago.
So, while the hippies all wanted to start a revolution with their ‘summer of love’ there was one starting right under their noses, but I don’t think that it was anything like the one that they had in mind.
The Internet has changed everything since then; some things for the better and some for the worse. It has gained such importance in our lives that we have now reached a point where many of us could not imagine being without it.

I know their has been a little talk about going back to france but since we are going on a new tip another trip let go some where completely different. This time lets stay in any one to the excellent hostels in Florence, for a week. Drop me a line if any of you are interested. I’ll probable talk to you about this in person at some point.
